This Crazy Pancrete Installation is Great for Business

The uses of our product, Pancrete, can vary in so many ways! Typically, Pancrete is a product used to resurface rusty, leaking HVAC drain pans. But one client turned his store’s countertop into a Pancrete display!

Bobby Mantle with Strategic Filtration in Houston, TX, used Pancrete to create a beautiful countertop in his store. He said he decided to use it because it was so beautiful, and it was an easy way to show his clients what Pancrete looks like when installed.

Bobby said it was a very easy process. First, he built the counter out of wood and added a lip to the sides, just enough to pour the Pancrete into. He poured it 1/4″ thick and then caulked the edges to ensure the Pancrete didn’t leak out. It bonded seamlessly to the wood.

His clients love the way it looks and feels, especially with that beautiful blue color. They see it every time they visit his location.

What a cool idea! Have you ever installed a product in an unusual way? Tell us your product stories!

Client Story! First Time Installing Pancrete

Have you ever had a product do something unexpected? That’s what happened to one of our clients! Shandi, our sales manager, talked to him last week and he told her what happened the first time he installed Pancrete. Read Shandi’s blog post to find out!

I spoke with one of our valued clients today, as he says that they are interested in our newest product, Ceramic Shield (a chiller resurfacer). They have had much success with Pancrete and V570 (a few of our drain pan resurfacers) for the past couple of years.

He is a contractor in California that does large Pancrete/ V570 applications. They like the fact that it sets up really quick and to tell his funny story, he learned this the hard way. On his very first application, he did not realize how fast the product would set up, or maybe he did not believe me. He mixed the product and began very slowly, but then the product started heating up and setting up in the containers. Since then, he has done several successful jobs using Pancrete and V570. We laughed about it, but on another note, we manufacture super easy, DIY products for “ALMOST” anyone to apply, with success.

(As you can see below, Pancrete can easily turn a rusty pan into a bright, fresh new one!)

Now, as we have introduced our new product, Ceramic Shield, he is interested to know how it will bring his company more business, just as Pancrete has. Maybe we’ll be able to get some before and after images of the tube sheets and end caps from the chiller that he is going to test our product on!

Stay tuned!

Case Study: How Pancrete Changed a Drain Pan and a Career

We recently received some great news and a case study from one of our clients. Our product Pancrete really changed the course of his career! Thanks to Andrej Bagar of FLUXAIR Indoor Environment Solutions for this case study.

This will be a short history of my contact with Pancrete. My former boss had brought a few samples of cured Pancrete from one of the NADCA conventions a few years back and had mentioned how he thought it was an interesting product. I remember we were in the middle of a couple of large projects at the time and the matter was put aside for later. So the samples were sitting in my drawer until one of our clients asked me for a solution to a leaking drain pan. I went back to the office, did a quick online research of the product, took the sample to the customer and shortly after, I had an order for the restoration of two 9’ x 4’ badly rusted drain pans.

After my first job was done, it was quiet for a year or so until I got in contact with the chief engineer at one hospital who ended up telling me that most of their air handling units had the same problem. Good thing about the quiet period was that I had over a year long trial period, making sure that Pancrete performed as stated. After everything looked good, I felt confident to propose the same solution to the hospital.

And here I am today, restoring air handlers as my primary field with my own company. As I was working on the units, my scope of work started expanding as well, so today I am restoring and replacing other components as well, and waterproofing entire units, not just drain pans. My next project is the largest unit in the hospital.
