3 Ways to Protect Your HVAC from Metal Corrosion

Corroded coilDo your customers live at the beach? If so, you know their A/C systems need a little extra TLC from all that salty air.

Over time, salty air can break down the oxide layer that protects parts of the A/C from disintegrating. Check out the photo above – those A/C coils are definitely corroded!

How can you fix corrosion and protect your customers A/C systems? Sea Coast Air Conditioning of Florida has three answers in “How the Beach Damages Your AC.”

One of the best ways is to put a protective layer back on the system.

Sea Coast suggests that “applying an anti-corrosion coating to your air conditioning system can help your AC withstand exposure to the ocean air.”

So what kind of coating do you need? Try a micro-coat that is specifically engineered for metal corrosion like Coil Shield. If you use it for your customers, you can keep their coils protected and clean for one year or more. You’ll see less corrosion and buildup, and the coating unobtrusively covers the coils. Contractors: What do you use to protect your customers’ coils and A/C systems from corrosion? We all know coil cleaning is a must, but how important is coil protection to you and your customers?

Social Media Trends: Catchy Title Goes Here

Social media is not meant to be hard, though it can be if you are not doing it right! Earlier this month I attended a social media conference offered by SkillPath Seminars. I came back with tons of useful information and tools, along with a more prepared and less overwhelmed outlook.

One of the many things I learned at the conference was that your main focus does not need to be all about your product all of the time. You actually want to push yourself as a person, and less of your product. Customers and potential customers like to know you are real, just as they are real. When posting a comment or tweeting, or sharing anything for that matter, you want to choose things you find valuable. If you find it valuable, they more than likely will as well. Try to have a little fun; it may brighten someone’s day.

Secondly, start searching now! There are tons of sites out there to help you keep up with what’s being said on your threads, and help you connect with common industries or similar interests. Also there are sites you can use to grade your site to ensure that it is benefitting you, as well as the person on the other end. Some examples are twilert.com, addictomatic.com, socialmention.com, and marketinggrader.com. Take a look at those, then get your searching cap on and see what you can discover for yourself.

Finally, there are things you should know about blogging. In today’s society most people stay on the go, so if they do take a look at your blog it’s only going to be for a few seconds. When blogging, you want to put your conclusion in the first few sentences and always use catchy headlines. Folks usually only read the first few lines, and then skim through the rest. If your headline is catchy and you’re to the point, they might read through the whole thing. So make your point, and make it quick!

I hope you guys found the tools and ideas I have learned beneficial, because I most certainly did. I am always opened to new ideas! If you know something about social media you would like to share, leave a comment in the section below. After all, you can never learn enough when it comes to SOCIAL MEDIA!
